Welsh Rarebits is wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
The festive season is becoming increasingly busy, but we hope you find time to relax and unwind over a good meal and a glass of wine.
We’d also like to thank everyone for supporting us during 2013, which has been a very exciting year for the group.
We hope to welcome you to one of our properties over the festive period and of course, in 2014.
Have a look at our web site to find somewhere to go for a well-earned lunch or dinner out, afternoon tea by a roaring fire, or let someone else take the strain, and book a weekend away in one of our fabulous hotels.
Once again, we wish you a very happy festive season, and hope it brings you all you wish for.
Stuck for what to give a loved one this Christmas? Then how about a Welsh Rarebits gift voucher?
The vouchers are presented in a customised gift card, and come in set amounts, so that you can choose which is the most appropriate for you.
Your loved one is certain to be delighted as the vouchers are valid for 12 months, so there’s plenty of time to plan a treat – either a meal or a stay in one of our fabulous hotels or cosy inns.
We all need something to look forward to, and a well-earned escape is generally high on people’s wish lists.
That wonderful Welsh Rarebits gift voucher will help make a special break a reality.
Imagine putting your feet up with a glass of bubbly in front of a log fire while someone else slaves in the kitchen.
No shopping, no cooking, no clearing up, no stress…
Too good to be true?
Not if you book yourself into one of our hotels for a Christmas escape, where all you’ll have to do is eat fabulous food, drink good wine, relax by the fire, and do nothing more strenuous than venture out for a leisurely stroll if you fancy it.
Many of our hotels are located in stunning historic buildings that look wonderful decked out for Christmas, with a huge tree festooned with lights taking pride of place.
A number of our hotels are also dog-friendly, so you won’t even have to worry about finding a place in kennels for Fido.
We still have festive deals available, BUT you’ll have to be quick if you want to secure your indulgent festive getaway.
Winter is the time for comfort food, tasty roasts, hearty soups and scrumptious puddings.
Jerusalem artichokes are often overlooked. But this vegetable, which is in season now, is fabulous. The Jerusalem artichoke’s delicious, nutty flavour goes well in soups and stews, and is also very good roasted.
Game is on the menu in many Welsh Rarebits establishments – look out for pheasant and venison, game pie and game terrine.
Winter puds are a perennial favourite, and we all enjoy tucking into traditional delights like treacle tart and steamed pudding, as well as the more sophisticated comfort desserts such as prune and almond tart.
The great thing about using seasonal produce is that it keeps the air miles down, and therefore our carbon footprint. It’s also good to be reminded that the best produce can often be found on our own doorsteps.
